((Alright the first few chapters is showing what happened in Fell's history. So here it begins.))

Fallen

Chapter One

It had wings.... It moves if anythign around it moves. It has to be something to play with! Moving my paws forward out of the shadows of my den and I sprinted forward at something not even the size of my paw. My back legs launch me forward and my jaws opened. I was going to catch it this time. I can see it playing out right before my eyes. Like everything is in slow motion. Here I came crashing down on the butterfly, but it flys away in an instance. A growl escapes me, that was suppose to be my prey. I was going to be the great hunter. Oh well... I’m not even year. I hear giggling and turning my attention to behind me. Sitting on the rock, my sister gazes down at me. I released a puppish growl. She breaks out laughing.

”Shut up!”

I shout at her, she’s such a pain. She doesn’t try to learn anything. So what if I look more like mom, she always teased me for it. Like I care, I can blend with the shadows and the night. She sticks out like a sore paw. Well except in the winter, but that doesn’t matter. There are still shadows in the deep cold. I trot pass her my head up high with dominance. She sticks her tongue out at me. I’m the leader, father said so. Males lead not females. I sat on the rock waiting for father to come. I’d get to hunt. I’d be the boss, not her. Me. That’s right the one and only Fell, the lead wolf. I watched as a flash of white made me look up. My eyes widened. Father.

He landed on all fours and didn’t even stumble. I can do that. I know I can. My dad’s eyes met mine. I had never seen anything more scary in my puppish life. A crimson red eye and a coal black one. They had no pupils. I did not falter as I spoke to him.

“I’m ready to hunt.”

My voice seemed allot deeper then usually. He gave one of his usual acknowledging nods and motioned with his paw for me to come. I obeyed. The two of us had been walking for an hour, and I thought the hunt would be allot shorter then this. My dad stopped, I bumped into him. A growl sent me whimpering and crouched down low. I didn’t mean to do it.

“Have a spine boy. Don’t cower with me, fight back. Second don’t be clumsy either, watch what your doing or else.”

He growled and I nodded. Good thing WindVoice didn’t see that, I’d have to beat her up if she teased me for it. I stood up straight and held my tail high. Dad was leader, but I was heir. So we continued. No troubles. The hunt came and I spotted the biggest.... RABBIT? I want an elk not some old barely able to move rabbit. A growl escaped me and my father cuffed me. He wanted me to start out with something easy, I preffered not to.

Taking a deep breath I darted in. The rabbit saw me. He ran. I followed maneuvering around the scene as dad watched with little interest. He didn’t care if I caught it. If I failed then he’d care. Leaping out I landed on it’s back and it struggled and kicked. I snarled, my fangs bared and I tasted blood. There was no more struggling, no more frantic breathing under my paws. Just flesh inwhich I tore apart and featsed upon. Something had taken over me, I had never killed anything. Yet now, I killed a rabbit. BloodLust had taken over.

“Good boy, now let’s return. There is still much more for you to learn.”

My father commanded. I followed leaving the rest of the carcass to the scavengers.

The next few days were horrible. Training with father left multiple gashed on my body. Mom was worried, she licked my wounds, but it didn’t help the pain. She didn’t meet my eyes. Maybe it was because she was sorry for me, or then again she never met my eyes. I could always see her star right into WindVoice’s yet she did not do the same.

“CloudBerry, let’s walk.”

My father called into the den. My mom stood not even hesitating. She was scared. I had never seen her be scared when Father called for her. What was wrong.

“SnowDriver, must we now. Fell could get an infection, his wounds haven’t scabed over-”

A swift paw hit my mother and she stumbled back. My eyes widened. What was wrong? I struggled to lift myself and stood infront of my mother. Father said to have a spine and stand up for myself. I can do that, but mom can’t stand up for herself, so I must do it for her.

“Leave her alone! She’s only caring for me like a mother should do. Unlike you, who only trains me to be a fighter and show no emotion. What kind of Father are you?!”

Mom backed away. I knew I said something bad. She trembled and I was frightened. I thought she’d be proud that I was standing up for her. I was wrong. All I remember is a white blurr and a sudden pain surging through me. Then everything went black. I didn’t know how long I had been out. Maybe a day, a week. Nothing but blackness and memories. I saw my mom and me and sis. We were all playing in the den, not allowed to go outside yet. It was then I got a real good look at me. My eyes. One matched father’s. Crimson like blood. Now I know why mother never met my eyes. She saw father’s eye in mine.

As I awoken from my sleep I spent the next few days learning from mom. She had taken me now, and father was no where to be seen. She taught me all kinds of knowledge, and now and again I spotted WindVoice at the entrance of the den gazing in. Staring with jealousy and a feeling of loss.

As the days turned into weeks, I found out that Father had gone on a small trip with the pack. They brought in another pup. I didn’t know her. I didn’t care at the moment. Father took me back and mom was demoted to omega. It was only an affair. Dad was looking for her to have children and care for them. Nothing else. Maybe that was what love really is. Can I be sure? Yeah of course I can. I wittnessed it. I began to run and spar with other members, I defeated them and grew stronger. As time went on I no longer saw my mother. Not at meals of training. She was no where to be seen. She had abandoned us.

“Hello”

A voice interrupted me from my thoughts, and I turned my head to look at the female speaking. The tawny wolfess smiled gently at me. Why was she interrupting my thoughts?

“What do you want?”

I asked rudly and glared at her. She glared back, not taking anything from me. Didn’t she know who I am? The heir to the pack, not some lousy warrior.

“Just to say hello but... your not worth my time anymore.”

With that she left me dumbfounded. I quickly recovered and snarled. No one talked to me like that! Not even her. Without thinking I charged.

I never expected for this to happen?
I decieved everyone,
Lied to all,
Hurt anyone I came into contact with,
and yet. I still have a heart.
It may be tainted black, and barely beating, but it's there.
